Superb Lyrebird

The Superb Lyrebird, Menura novaehollandiae, is an ecosystem engineer and master imitator of other songbirds. It is endemic to the forests of Victoria and NSW and was introduced to Tasmania in the 1930's. It is a magnificent species that is not currently threatened.
