The Great Forest National Park is a proposed park in Victoria's Central Highlands, North East of Melbourne. The proposed park will cover an area of 525,000 hectares, help to safeguard threatened species including the iconic Leadbeater's Possum, and protect threatened Mountain Ash forest, an ecosystem that has been listed as critically endangered by the IUCN.
